Large-scale energy storage enables the storage of vast amounts of energy produced at one time and its release at another. This technology is critical for balancing supply and demand in renewable energy systems, such as wind and solar, which are inherently intermittent. These systems help balance supply and demand by storing excess electricity from variable renewables such as solar and inflexible sources. As the demand for clean and efficient energy solutions grows, the aggregation of large-scale Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) plays a critical role in optimizing energy systems. This dataset provides detailed parameters and configurations for a variety of DERs, including photovoltaic (PV). Hithium manufacturing its 587Ah cell, a size offered by numerous other firms, while Hithium has even larger-format offerings too. We analyse and compare the metrics of the various LFP battery cells of 587Ah and above, from leading providers CATL, Eve Energy, Hithium, Rept Battero. Distributed generation, also distributed energy, on-site generation (OSG), or district/decentralized energy, is electrical generation and storage performed by a variety of small, grid -connected or distribution system-connected devices referred to as distributed energy resources (DER).
